I have been unkind to you ladies in making you wait so long for our girl talk post so I do apologize sincerely, last week I just got so caught up working on my webpage. But we are soooo back and I absolutely cherish our time together so with that being said tonight you are in for a treat. This one is geared more towards my single ladies but of course even if you are in a relationship you are welcome to join and apply this towards yourself as well.
So here it goes…
It’s the most wonderful time of the year…The most beautiful weddings, and everyone’s telling you yours will be nearrrr… It’s the most wonderful time of the year, It’s the sap-sappiest season of aaaaaall!!!
*applause applause*
Thank you, thank you very much! I just came up with that little remix like two seconds ago. My songwriting class is really paying off, if I do say so myself. I did, however, come up with “Single Girl Season” back in my freshman year of college. I remember it like it was just yesterday because I truly had never felt more single in my entire life. It was obviously right around this time when it started to get cold in Michigan. And I am not sure if it is something about the holidays being right around the corner to then also adds the temperature drop, but being single gets hard up here in the Midwest. I mean, I have been single for every holiday and sure, it is hard as is, but bro… nothing like my first winter in Michigan. Obviously the major difference was the location and everything that comes with that. You got the weather, the people, the culture, the traditions, the fireplace. I mean, Michigan makes you feel like you’re starring in a Hallmark movie. Except us single girls are just the extras.
But I mean if you’re single you just know this is like the most not so wonderful time of the year. You’re surrounded by all the matching pajamas and the mistletoes and that one Mariah Carey song over and over and over again. It also makes you feel like no matter how long you have been single you just automatically think since Santa is coming to town, he is going to perform a miracle in your love life or something. Just to then get a sad reality check by the time you have to take down the tree, and then we build that hope up once again right around this time of the year. Did you notice how I switched “you” to “we”? I am right there with you guys and at times I feel silly to even admit it but I am human too with actual feelings, you know? Wild idea but it’s true. But ladies it is time for us to take this holiday by the… jinglebells;)) Yes, we grab it by the jinglebells and make it ours.
And honestly it is quite easy and I could straight up end the post right after I say what it is and then just let you come up with the rest. But here it is🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
Dedicate these last two months of the year to yourself. There are 45 days until Christmas. And Christmas Eve is your last day, so you better bring it on home for Nochebuena. And if you’re not Hispanic, I definitely recommend joining a Hispanic friend of yours for Nochebuena. But anyways, back to it. If you lacked the love and attention that you need with yourself this past year, dedicate these last 45 days to just being with yourself and getting to know and love who that is. Take yourself on dates. Treat yourself to some jewelry and flowers. Go on daily walks. Pick up that book you have been meaning to read. Start a new hobby. Teach yourself code or the stock market or how to knit. Again, the list goes on and on, but that is up to you and that is the beauty of it all: this is for you to be about you. In 45 days, Christmas day will be here, and what better present to give yourself than having dedicated the past 45 days all to yourself. It will jumpstart you to have the greatest start to the new year, I can assure you that. So don’t waste a second more, and let us celebrate “Single Ladies Season” together this year!
Have a fabulous and fun weekend ladies<3
xoxo,
KroddyRich💋
