Being that this is my first-ever post, I just want to introduce myself a bit to all of you and give you a taste of how I speak so you can decide if you like it here or not. First off, my name is Kaylee America Rodriguez. A lot of people call me Kroddy (pronounced Kay Rod ee). I am rich in love, health, joy, family, friends, and life. I am a 21-year-old college student-athlete from Miami, Florida. Now that all the boring basic stuff is out of the way, let’s get into the good stuff. Obviously, since this is all typed up and I can edit it a hundred times before actually publishing it, I can control my language a little better than I do in real life. I am a very open person, sometimes about myself, but I mainly just say whatever comes to mind. I joke about anything and everything, but I do seriously care about everything with all my heart, except what people have to say or think about me. I am extremely sarcastic and nonchalant. Is this my coping mechanism for all the shit I have gone through in my life? The world may never know. Yes, the road in my life has been one bumpy ride, to say the least, but at the end, beginning, and middle of my days, I know that I am blessed. I love my life, even through the ups and downs. My goal is to help you love yours, even through your ups and downs. I care about you, and I want everyone who comes across my page to love again, laugh again, and feel alive again. To wake up feeling thankful. To get out of bed with a purpose. To share the beauty in life with even more beautiful people around you who shine your light even brighter, not dim it. To go through the hard days and times not with fear or feeling lost, but with faith and hope that you, no matter how hard it gets, will get up again. To find that significant other who you feel and know is right to let love all of you and get to know every little thing that makes you, you. This is not about me… It’s about you. I will talk to you about me and what I have learned from what I have gone through, not for your pity but to offer some perspective. Because at the end of the day, that is all it really is – perspective. I don’t tiptoe around shit, and I definitely don’t do the whole small talk shit either. This is not for the weak, and I hate to put it that way, but if you know yourself to be a tad sensitive, this my friend is not the place for you… not yet, but I know you will be back:).
